Maintenance & Servicing

Baker Cranes carries out maintenance and servicing on all brands of cranes. We have an experienced team of service staff who can promptly resolve your problems. Our service team is responsible for over 500 cranes throughout New Zealand.

All our service staff are kept up to date with on-going technical and safety training. This includes technical training carried out at ABUS headquarters, Germany, and at Eilbeck Cranes, Australia.

We stock a large range of spare parts for ABUS cranes. However, we can usually obtain parts for all makes of cranes in use in New Zealand. We can also engineer and carry out modifications and upgrades of existing equipment.

Regular preventative maintenance is necessary to ensure equipment is operating in a safe condition. In addition, regular preventative maintenance will minimise downtime due to unscheduled breakdowns.

Modern crane equipment is designed for a finite life of 10 years, based on the anticipated amount of use. The equipment must be assessed as to whether the actual use is greater or lesser than that anticipated and the actual remaining life calculated. Baker Cranes has the expertise to carry out these assessements.
